Everyone deserves to have fun. Gig buddies was established to help people with learning disabilities and/or autism to be able to attend gigs, festivals, sports matches, the theatre etc, by helping them have someone to go with who is able to provide any care needs.

With volunteers to participate, we aim to match volunteers and participants based on mutual likes, and then pair them up to go to events together.

As part of a caring & sharing scheme, Gig buddies is determined to help people enjoy events, irrespective of any learning disabilities and/or autism, offering care & protection at gigs, festivals, sports matches, the theatre etc.

Donations go to:

  1. Costs for matching the Gig buddy participant and volunteer
  2. Pay volunteer basic expenses
  3. Gig buddy admin staff costs to help and organise buddying events, manage screening etc.
  4. DBS check a volunteer (government screening fee)

How you can help:

  1. Support Gig Buddies
  2. Be a volunteer
  3. Spread the word about Gig buddies, and other similar causes that help those who would not otherwise be able to attend such events.
